The Legislature recently passed House Bill 363 and Senate Bill 297. Both of these bills will increase the quality and accountability of our charter schools. It simplifies the charter school commission appointment process, increases training and support staff for the commission to vet charter applications more rigorously, and clarifies the funding of conversion charter schools.
